Think you can eat seven empanadas faster than anyone else? Prove it at the Empanada Eating Contest during the 3rd Annual Tampa Bay Empanada Festival on Saturday, March 29th at 6:30 PM!
Competition Details:
Time: 6:30 PM
Location: Perry Harvey Sr. Park, Tampa, FL
Max Competitors: 8
Entry Fee: $15 (must also have a festival ticket)
Winner Receives:
- $100 cash prize
- Champion’s Award
- Ultimate bragging rights
Rules & Guidelines:
- Contestants will be given seven empanadas.
- The first person to fully consume and swallow all seven wins.
- No spitting or regurgitation—if any food is spit up, you will be disqualified.
- You must open your mouth to confirm everything has been swallowed before being declared the winner.
- Water is allowed during the contest.
- You must be at least 18 years old to enter.
- Respect fellow competitors and stay within your designated eating area.
- Judges' decisions are final.
